TOWER OF POWER
Tower of Power will kick off the Fair on Opening Day with its soulful blend
of funk, rock, and jazz featuring hits that span the last 30 years. The band
is recognized around the world for its formidable concert appearances where
their up-front horn section commands attention. Well known for the 70s for
tunes such as "What is Hip?" and "You're Still a Young Man," Tower of Power
is a fixture in the Bay Area music scene and is experiencing a renaissance
of interest with younger generations for its contemporary music. This
concert sponsored by the River (KRVR) and introduced by the River's Mike
Watterman.
Entry to the concert is free and included in the price of admission to the fair. The Sonoma-Marin Fair offers $14 admission for adults, $9 for 4 to 12 year olds and under age 4 are free. Because the carnival, concerts, and entertainment are included in the price of admission, the Sonoma-Marin Fair is an affordable family event.
